The Black Eyed Peas are an American funky hip-hop(musical styles: crossover rap/ hip hopand alternative rap/hip hop) group from , , who have enjoyed international popsuccess. Starting as more of an undergroundgroup, the group first received worthy commercial success with the release of their album Elephunk. This co-incided with the joining of Fergie to the group after she was released from rehab. The group is currently composed of Will.i.am, Apl.de.ap, Taboo, and Fergie. It exists as one of the few interracial bands in current American hip-hop.
